being spiritual

Sincerely spiritual.

So what does “being spiritual” really mean?

Spirituality is a way life. A state of being. It resides deep within your soul. It’s trusting the journey that you’re on and understanding that there is a reason for each experience and every challenge, even without knowing what it is.

I question events that have happened; spirituality doesn’t supply the answers.

Spirituality is nonjudgmental. We’re each having our own journey that others will not always understand. No one is perfect. There will be moments when you will make choices – that only you understand. Know that theses choices are the best for you and only you.

I have my own opinions; spirituality doesn’t judge me.

Spirituality is to surrender. Surrendering is not giving up or losing your power. It’s quite the opposite. Surrendering leads to freedom. Freedom to be creative, to allow your intuition to flow, and to love yourself and others unconditionally. It’s releasing the perceived outcome of how it should be and allowing what is… to be.

I take action; spirituality does not mean being passive.

Spirituality is synchronistic. The Universe presents opportunities for us to grow and expand our consciousness. Patterns repeat to bring us an awareness of where our soul is longing to go. Receiving signs and messages from the Universe and our loved ones in spirit illuminates this.

I choose to see the signs; spirituality only presents them.

Spirituality is believing in something greater. We are all connected. A perfect soul without a face. There is no separation between us. Each of us is longing to transcend the ego.

I have disagreements with others because I’m human; spirituality is not always love and light.

Spirituality does not mean bad shit is not going to happen.

We’ve been conditioned to believe that life is about morality. Good vs. bad. Right vs. wrong.  The more moral one is, the higher spirituality evolved they must be. Wrong.

Really bad shit happens to really good people.

Struggles lead us to seek.  We seek truth. We seek purpose. We seek a deeper connection.

Our responses, not our reactions to the experiences, enable us to stand strong. There is a distinct difference. Our “awakening” heightens through our challenges.

I grieve because I hurt, spiritual does absolve the pain of human emotions.

The simple answer is…. Spirituality is truly being your best you and knowing you’re an integral piece of the big puzzle.
